Hello all you happy people. After a very long absence from my short past blogging life, I am coming back to the blogging world.
Naomi is finally getting married! I've been away from this blog for soooo long that the kids are now graduated from college after both having served faithful missions for the Church. Josiah has been married for almost 10 years now and has his own little bunch of kids (2 boys, 1 girl, and 1 (?) due Jan 20th). He currently works as an aeronautical engineer for Boeing and serves as a Young Mens advisor. Jacob is now a full-fledged professor here with the university and continues to make great strides in the area of atmospheric physics. He stays busy teaching classes, writing publications, and answering his many conference invitations. Last spring I graduated with my masters degree in education and accepted a more formal position to teach English as a foreign language at the local Gymnasium (jr high/ high school). Although she hasn't been home too much, Naomi is great at keeping us updated through Facebook. She has been quite busy finishing up her residency in pediatric surgery at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. Thank goodness for modern technology to keep us connected. It was a great surprise to us all when she announced (via Facebook) that she was engaged! I won't tell too much of her story, but I suppose the emergency room is as good a place as any to meet the boy of your dreams.
Overall, we have been greatly blessed of the Lord and are glad we have these modern means to keep in touch with each other. In case anyone was wondering, we are still alive and well in Mainz, Germany.
